Martha Rudka holds a master´s degree in Translation Science from the University of Heidelberg and is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and at the Centre for Ibero-American Studies (IAZ). For her PhD thesis she was granted a scholarship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes). She is part of the research group 'Discourse Particles and Cognition' (DPKog) headed by Prof. Loureda. She gave conference talks about discourse particles and organized congresses in the same field. Her research project revolves around the study of focal discourse particles in German from an experimental point of view.
